The Manor Park based side completed a remarkable campaign, finishing the season with just one defeat, which came in the opening game of the season in a narrow 3-2 loss against the same St Antony side. From that moment onwards, the young squad responded brilliantly, showing resilience, consistency and determination throughout the season to ensure it remained their only defeat.

In an even more impressive achievement, the team competed an entire year up against older opposition, yet still managed to secure the league title with a game in hand.

Throughout the season, SHADE Youth FC gained recognition for their discipline and togetherness, with players developing both on and off the pitch under the club’s community football programme.
The achievement marks another major milestone for SHADE Youth FC and highlights the growing impact of grassroots football within the local Manor Park community.

Hafiz Ahmed, Community Project Manager of SHADE said:
“This group have shown unbelievable commitment and character all season. To lose the opening game and then go unbeaten for the rest of the season while playing a year up is a fantastic achievement. The boys fully deserve this title and we are extremely proud of them.”
SHADE Youth FC continues to provide football opportunities and youth development programmes for young people across East London through structured coaching, mentoring and community engagement initiatives.
